quanti saluti di donne da quanti luoghi -
quando abbiamo ideato il progetto "saluti da…" eravamo sedute intorno al tavolo quadrato nella biblioteca dell'accademia, pensavamo di invitare le artiste ad inviarci le loro cartoline per realizzare una mostra ne "le teche" dell'accademia -
poco più di una settimana e le nostre vite e gli incontri cambiavano in maniera non immaginabile -
consapevoli che quanto è accaduto ed accade ci riguarda e non è altro da noi, abbiamo scelto di abitare questo tempo modificando, cambiando di segno, cercando modi diversi per condividere quanto stavamo vivendo e continuare i nostri discorsi, coniugandoli con quanto avveniva -
lontane e vicine, abbiamo cominciato a lavorare da casa, continuando, tra mille difficoltà, ad organizzare la mostra "saluti da…" on line, prima mostra ad inaugurare il nostro sito, di cui siamo felici ed orgogliose -
le cartoline che sono arrivate, oltre cento, hanno cominciato ad avere un altro significato da quello che pensavamo all'inizio, mandate dalle nostre case, dove eravamo costrette a ripararci, sono diventate un segnale, la voglia di dire che ci siamo, che abbiamo voglia di comunicare, di salutarci -
il nuovo senso che via via acquistava la nostra mostra ci ha sorprese, commosse, emozionate -
che bellezza, anche in questo tempo così sconcertante -
naturalmente ci auguriamo di realizzare presto una mostra fisicamente visitabile, ma in questo momento va molto bene così: dare risposte che ci appartengono alle cose che accadono -
grazie a tutte le artiste che hanno risposto al nostro invito e che, in un momento così complesso e spaesante, ci hanno consentito di sentirci in compagnia -

so many greetings from women from so many different places -
when we came up with the project “greetings from...” we were sitting at the square table in the academy's library, we were thinking of inviting the artists to send us their postcards to put together an exhibition in the academy's “display cabinets” -
a little more than a week later and our lives and meetings were changing in a way we would have never imagined -
aware of the fact that what was happening and is still happening concerns us all equally, we chose to inhabit this time by changing: a change of sign, searching for different ways to share what we were all living and keeping our conversation alive, combining it all with what was happening -
far away from each other and close, we started working from home, and no matter how hard it was, we kept arranging the “greetings from...” exhibition online, the first exhibition to launch our website we are so happy and proud of -
we received more than a hundred postcards, and they started having a different meaning from what we originally thought, sent from our homes where we were forced to take refuge they became a signal, the desire of saying we are here, that we crave communication, we want to greet one another -
the new meaning the exhibition was bit by it acquiring surprised us and moved us deeply -
it's so beautiful, even in such a disconcerting time -
we obviously wish to be able to arrange an exhibition that can be visited physically and in person, but for now we are more than happy as it is: giving the responses belonging to us to the things that happen -
we warmly thank all the women artists who responded to our invite and who, in such a complex and confusing time, made it feel less lonely -
